Description Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust serves North Derbyshire's population and beyond and provides a full range of acute services and 24-hour accident and emergency care. The hospital has around 549 beds and a budget of £138 million (2006/2007). More than 3,000 staff are employed to keep services running. The Trust also manages a small (eight beds) midwifery led maternity centre in Darley Dale, near Matlock in Derbyshire and a range of specialist children's services in the community.
