Langwith Whaley Thorns Heritage Centre
The centre houses the
John Hyatt Collection
of artefacts and photographs that chart the social history of the local community from its agricultural beginnings to the sinking of the colliery in 1876 and its final closure in 1978.
Opening Times
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday:
10am - 3pm
Tuesday and Thursday:
By appointment
Admission is free but donations are welcome
