Description  Peak FM Radio 107.4 and 102 Peak FM began broadcasting from Chesterfield as 'Peak 107 FM' on Wednesday October 7, 1998 and soon became North Derbyshire's favourite radio station. In 2004 the station began to broadcast on two frequencies, 107.4 and 102,  and so its name was changed to the simpler Peak FM. Its coverage stretches from Derbyshire's Peak District in the North and West, as far South as Matlock and Mansfield, to Worksop in the East, and parts of South Yorkshire. Peak FM plays a variety of contemporary music and songs from the last three decades as well as broadcasting travel news and up to the minute national and local news and sport.
