Please note that not all villages are covered. The photographs can be purchased online if you wish. You might also like to visit the Picture the Past website. Thanks to a major award from the Heritage Lottery Fund the libraries and museums of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been able to put online an enormous number of images from within their collections including historic photographs, slides, negatives, glass plates, postcards and engravings recalling the history of the local communities over the last hundred years and more. You can search the database and view the images.
