Description
Whaley Thorns Walks for 2007

Come along for a friendly welcome and meet up with others for a healthy walk in a beautiful landscape. The walks are through ancient woodlands reached by age-old footpaths and bridleways.

The Sunday walks are led by Dave Evans, a local volunteer, who is a mine of information about the flora and fauna as well as the history of the area. The midweek walks are led by Neil and Serena Helsby who have enjoyed these walks so much they would like to show them to others.

All walks start and end at the car park of the Langwith and Whaley Thorns Heritage Centre, West Street, Whaley Thorns NG20 9BW. The centre is by the bus terminus and the Robin Hood Line railway station. The Ordnance Survey Grid Reference is SK 531 711.
